You could sell that to many others here, but we know I know better.

Lol.

Bad news we can't get a reservation for the Gun Show on Friday night. If someone other than Michael has a suggestion I would appreciate it.

Joe

There are just too many places in Atlanta for a generic recommendation. What are you guys looking for? Steaks? Fresh seafood? Cajun? Burgers?

Something high quality as far as I'm concerned. I can get IHOP anywhere. ::) No real preference for me as far as type of food. Though I do feel that the whole steak house experience can be very over rated.

Agree on the steak house deal. They're usually low on my list.

Places I can personally vouch for:

Wisteria (seasonal menu, excellent wine and bourbon selection) - http://www.wisteria-atlanta.com/

Bellina (Italian, they got Porchetta Joe) - http://bellina-alimentari.com/menus/

Luminary (great raw bar, original recipes) - http://www.theluminaryatl.com/

Your up there now aren't you? Bad idea to put me in front of an excellent bourbon selection.  :P

If you wanna talk football no place like Fox Brothers BBQ.  Lots of good restaurants if you want to go fancy.  Miller Union is highly recommended.

I did Fox Bros. last year. I am always looking for something new.

I guess technically I live there. But I'm actually in Miami for the next few months for work. And I can't make it back for the clinic due to a wedding that weekend. Sucks. This might be the best meet up since Dans clinic in Chicago a few years back.

I'm also a huge fan of The Vortex, but it's not really in the fine dining category. More burgers and beer but good lord, their pork Mac n cheese chimichangas will tap out your taste buds.

Darn, I was hoping you would be there. I don't think it has to be fine dining, it just can't be crap.

Really unlucky timing. Clinic is 5 minutes from my new place.

You also can't miss in either the Krog Street or Ponce Markets. Any one of those places has a wide variety of excellent stuff.
