I wouldn't think you'd be able to run jet sweep very well out of that formation, especially if the TE's released... how did you block the end man?

We had tremendous success running jet sweep from the short side to the long side per Ronin's post.  We called the plays after they aligned.  When the team heard the jet sweep call the play side TE/WR went into blocking mode.  It's almost Wildcat'ish.

We didn't release our TEs, on Jet.

I also had my Slot crack the closest LB or S that is inside of him.

In the first half, we either faced a boxing DE (sweeper would cut inside) or a DE that would hold position and read (sweeper would beat him to the sideline).  Similar to CoachSugg, our WRs would block... widest WR blocks Corner while inside WR cracks.  As mentioned before... huge success, but mostly because we have one of the best RBs in the entire league (which is why we switched to this less block intensive offense).  But teams always adjusted at halftime so that their DE would crash straight to the path of the sweeper.  This would open up a fake where we fake the Jet and hand off to the inside WR from the other side as he ran behind the QB.  But this would only work once or twice.

Okay, but my question was: how did you block the defensive end? It sounds like you didn't... or was that the crack from the WR?

That definitely seems like it would work very well. You could reverse or have the QB keep and do all kinds of things, although I would shy away from having the QB keep in this offense.

Okay, but my question was: how did you block the defensive end? It sounds like you didn't... or was that the crack from the WR?

Based on OCD's diagram my RTE would block the playside DE.  Slot would crack to LB.  WR would block CB.  Safety sees the Slot release, he hesitates.  So my Jet is already to the edge.

Agree.  The QB for my R&S was my stud FB.  He ran it maybe twice in 30 plays for the season.  Both were for tremendous runs, because the teams we played werent prepared.  After we went Empty they stayedin a 60 front (A-gap restricted, so 8' between their DTs. And they moved their LB and S to the edge.  Oops...  Kid got 40 yards untouched before getting run down.

Ha. That's the overwhelming advantage of being able to pass with young kids.

just so you guys know, there is a R&S board that has popped up, would definitely like to see some of you join and bring the youth knowledge to it, right now, its alot of classic Mouse Davis shoot discussions, but id love to talk to DC R&S as well.
