Gumby and Mike,

Work is sending me out to Golden, Co for 2 weeks in June.  Any chance you guys could make time to talk shop with me.  I will spring for dinner/brews.

Sure

I am out of town from the 13th-18th.

Our Spring Bowl Game is on the 2nd or 3rd. It would be very cool if you could make that game.

Joe shed some light on this for the Old Ground and Pound guy.  Gents I was way over thinking this!  15 minute conversation and I believe this can happen as long as I don't over coach/think it.
Not MPP... ONE TASK!  Teach them!  :)

I will fly out on the 10th and back on the 22nd.  Going to a Hydropower Plant Operator class at the Electrical Power Training Center in Golden.

I was the original ground & pound guy. 3 yds & a cloud of dust was how I played & first coached. We were very successful too. All things being equal I still believe I can take mine & beat yours, take yours & beat mine. What I learned over the years is all things aren't equal, so I needed to be a better coach.

We now do what we can to even the field out.

Joe reading some older posts and i found this above.  Could you expound from a coaching stand point some of the things you do as a coach to even the field?  This could actually be its own thread.  Just curious i have some things i try but am always looking for more.

Quite often we play teams with much more talent. We have 2 players who will play D1 football at smaller schools. We will often play teams with more than 10 D1 players  who are going to Power 5 schools. Can't block a DLineman read him. LB a stud RPO him.

The idea is to find away to make up for your short comings.
