Our first game today is a rain out.  Raining all week here in Fort Worth Texas.  Much needed rain.  Plus it gives us a little more time to work on offense.  We have a bye next Saturday so we should be ready in week 3.  I am hoping our #1 lineman pick decides to come back next week after this broken tibia.  No word from parents yet.  That would be gravy if he did.  Come on baby.

Here is some Defensive highlights from our first scrimmage.  I am running my 62 Multi 8 Youth Football Defense, in the 62 Wide Tackle, 62 Tight Tackle and the 62 Double Wide (Split 60.)  The Double Wide really worked for us against this team.  https://youtu.be/0XJDXzUw5pQ

Good luck this week

Well, after a rain out and a bye week, we finally played our first game in the rain last Saturday against the #1 seed in our KYA Football 9/10age division.  We won 12-6.  The Power Wing Beast Offense and 62x8 Defense shocked them into submission. And well, some luck too.  There were so many turnovers in the wet slop. It had been raining in DFW non-stop for about a week and raining during the game.  Both teams played great and our defense just held them off long enough.

I really like moving into the the 33 stack or just stacking the short side LB from the wide tackle 62.  This has worked really well this season.

Looking forward to this week.

Hope everyone is having a great season.

Last week I was out but we won our second game 21-6.  Defense played great running in and out of the 62 and 33 stack from the 62 Multi 8 Defense.  The Beast Tank finally scored twice and a Beast Worm Sweep bit them too from the Power Wing Beast Offense.  Another tough game in the wet slop with 6 fumbles and 3 turnovers.  They said the defense was very tough.  Good to be 2-0.

Game 3 is another win in the books today 21-6.  Tough game!  We are 3-0 for the season with 3 regular season games left.  Stacking up to be the big game for our last game if all goes well for the next 2 games and meet the other top team for the top seed for playoffs.

Todays's Bronco's underdog team came out to play tough, and boy did they.  Several of their players had played on our previous teams.  Plus I helped one of their coaches with some blocking issues in the season, so they were ready for us.  They got us on a Beast Corky inside Counter for their 6 as our LBs but hard on the play action.  We scored on the opening kick off and a Beast Tank for the PAT.  A Beast Tank for 6 and a Wedge for 1 then a Spy WB Motion 26 Lead for 70 yards.  Fun running multiple formations from the Power Wing Beast Offense Playbook.  Defense was very solid again running the 62x8 Alphabet system for the linebackers and 4 down linemen.  Worked out great.  We installed on Thursday.  Proud of our boys.  We had awesome play from our strong side CB too.  Overall another solid team victory.  Go Rams!

I hope everyone is having a great season,

Well, in regular season we lost our last game to the other undefeated team so we ended up 5-1 regular season.  We won our first playoff game last Saturday 20-0 playing around with some new plays which made our first half very sloppy we ran three TDs in on one series and did not score due to penalties.  Not sure what this group of refs were used to calling but not sure it was pee wee league games.  Oh well, got the win and the shutout. We came out second half with the Beast and bit them a a few times.  :)

This weeks game will be tough.  We beat them in the regular season 12-6.  They have a very shifty back that loves to cut back and has great feet.  Now if my defense will focus and key him.

I hope everyone's season is going well.

Thanks

Re: KYA Fall Football in Keller, TX 2018 - Super Bowl Bound
« Reply #36 on: November 12, 2018, 04:50:38 PM »
Well, we did it - Super Bowl Bound.  We won our last playoff game 21-0 and play in the KYA Football Super Bowl this weekend against the team that beat us 3 games ago which was our only loss in the regular season.  I have a ton of scouting to do.  We are really missing our top draft pick DE / TE that broke his leg before the beginning of the season and has not returned to the team.  This talent shortage hurts us in the middle where they scored last time we played them since I had to shore up the outside with our LB.  We shut them down in the first half last time but they scored 3 in the second half once they found the middle weakness. We kept missing tackles in the middle, no real excuse but hard for a tier 2 LB to tackle a great tier 1 running back.  Gotta find a solution for this week.

I hope everyone is having a great season or had one.  Happy Holiday season too.
