Right 61 trap timing help
« on: September 19, 2018, 01:02:20 PM »
For right 61 trap, does the TE go behind the FB or in front of him on his fake 24.

Is the handoff to the TE more when the QB is faking the 16 after 24 handoff?

Ive done right 65, and never had an issueif your fb hits the line in 4 steps at inside foot of the tackle, your te should be passed the tackle being 3 steps at most away from his inside foot.

Te goes first if this isnt smooth or you need all kinds of detail.

An opens left,  turns, and should be facing "right " in 2-3 steps and ready for the inside hand off.

So the te should be infront of the fb, and the qb should near where the pulling guard was for the inside handoff

We installed this yesterday. Never had run it before. We had our TE turn, pause then go. Initially he was colliding with the WB going through the 6 hole on his track block. Our hand was behind the FB. Don't you want it so it looks like the FB is getting the ball ? It was a tad slower than I would like but I figured based in the play design and the TE being 3 steps out this would occur.

This is why I run all "Left" and "Right" calls on "1" (one) so that WB can't collide.
