My son's former High School puts practices up on Hudl...so the boys can see what they are doing right in practice and what they need to improve on. You can log into his Hudl and take a peek...I am assuming they film the practices as you mentioned game film...

I agree with everyone as far as coach not reaching out...unsatisfactory...should have been that evening or the next morning, at the latest.

Asking for a meeting is within your rights...

and my son's practices were always open...I used to watch from outside the fence, coach came up to me and asked me why I always stood out there...come on in...
None of them suck, they just haven't found what the kid is good at yet.

One game left. Season almost over. When it's over, I'll schedule it.

My boy isn't playing anyways.

My gut tells me you are not getting the full story. And the fact you are second guessing the coaching on non related plays concerning concussions, leads me to believe that you know have anger and are looking for anything to call out the coaches. I recommend meeting with the coach with the AD and evaluate then.

Your gut is correct. I am not getting the full story. In fact, I am not getting any story surrounding the events that lead up to my son's injury. And I received no communication from any coaches until a couple days later. That's the overarching issue and question at hand that I posed here. "Am I within my rights to even ask...."

The philosophical disagreement with the coaching of the fundamentals is a separate issue, that quite honestly I have no interest in pursuing with any dialogue. It was simply noted in response to a suggestion that the coaching staff, based on their inability to keep scout team kids safe, were perhaps "chuckeheads". It doesn't negate the broadly shared belief here that kids on scout O, with a wicked starting D, should be protected from high impact collisions. They should not be lambs lead to the slaughter. They are not disposable or expendable commodities. The are young men.

Your recommendation to met with the coach and AD regarding what they do to keep scout team ball carriers safe is spot on. If you've followed this thread in its entirety, you'd see that was decided as the course of action several days ago.
