Classic.  lol

One of the things that makes the sport so fascinating is the amount of money that's on the line every week, with the Grim Reaper right around the corner.  And by the age of 12, you'd better be the second coming of Juan Manuel Fangio or Richard Petty to get in the door without major sponsorship because the other 99.9% of the drivers out there have to buy their opportunity.

Exactly

My son Jason used to race QuarterMidgets with Alex Bowman. Alex and his dad were members of our club even though they lived in Arizona, they traveled all the way to Pomona Ca. to race. He got him as far as he could then the midget rides came in and then a chance through Hendrick and when Jr. got his concussion Alex stepped in and subbed great then Dale retires and now Alex is living a dream.

His dad is a great dude. Super nice as well as Alex, very humble family

Well the site was on the fritz when we were supposed to have our first race but Texas weather stepped in and said we'd have to wait. we only have 3 races scheduled this year so September is our next race. I'll keep y'all posted.

If i ever retire theres a racing fad in Hawaii, where they drop big block v8 motors into old vw bug frames and drag them. That would make my life complete. But for now i drive a nissan murrano and listen to lots of slayer and vader haha

Great news, best of luck.

I still dream of going to Bonneville one season as a spectator.  Right now, my dream is a little closer to home. I still need to stab the engine back into my 1979 Firebird Formula.
