Just got this through our MelCat Library system.

The Split-Line T Offense by Alonso "Jake" Gaither. 1963.

Here are his advocated splits...C/G: 4.5'; G/T: 3'; T/E: 6'
The conventional split T was 33' across while Gaither's spreads to 48'.

He discusses the various blocks and pass protections against defenses that one may normally see at the youth level, 5-4, WT6, 7 diamond, and gap.

Another book from IL loan. Have only glanced through it. "Coaching Football's Pro Wishbone Attack" by Rollie Robbins with Jim Hall.

They advocate 3 different sets of splits...
Base is 2' b/w C/G; 3' b/w G/T; 9' from T/TE. SE is 9 yards.
Wide: C/G: 3'; G/T: 4-5'; T/TE: 12'; SE 5 yards from sideline.
Tight: C/G: 1'; G/T: 2', T/TE: 6'; SE 5 yards from T.

I've already ordered the Split-Line T from Amazon.

Or you could just read DumCoach's advice on adjustable splits for free here.

Yes, you can, and I already do. But sometimes it's good to have information that is specific to how you wish to apply it.

I just bought the first book. I'll see if I can get the wishbone book from my library.

Yeah, you definitely don't want to pitter patter around in the backfield. One of our under center offenses started to click when Mahonz installed some bunch concepts and put the Z back in jet motion toward the bunch. This really opened then inside game. The only problem was that we had to rotate 3 Z backs because they were gassed from all that motion.
