Since were just talking playoffs.  I'll go back through Manning's playoff deep throws...

This year.  DEEP % 4%.  By comparison, Kap was 38%.
Yards per Attempt.  4.0

2007
DEEP % 18%
YPA 6.5 (highest of ANY QB IN THE PLAYOFFS)

2008
DEEP % 26.2
YPA 7.1 (2nd highest of any QB in the playoffs)

2009

DEEP % 18

YPA 6.1 (Third highest)

Do i need to keep going?  Manning's balls WERE NOTHING LIKE HE HAD SHOWN IN THE PAST.  He was one of the best deep ball throwers.  In this playoff, HE WAS THE WORST QB IN THE PLAYOFFS.

Pretty cut & dry.

It's all about having fun.  But losing aint fun!

He gave Elway an out, now the Broncos can draft a QB for them to groom until Payton walks away.

its one game. you act like that was accumulated over 10 games. I would say you know more  baseball than football, but that isnt saying anything. Want the wager or no? cut and dry.

What blew me away...and I had never really sat a watched the guy play before unless I had too.

Accuracy with a quick release. The balls he could drop in....amazing. Really amazing.

Its what makes Brady great and Super Joe and Marino the greatest. Accuracy.

J Russell could throw a football while on one knee 60 yards. Didn't help him one bit.

I still cant help but laugh thinking Manning took this team to the same distance that Tebow did. Only Manning charged them 5 times more $$

arm strength doesnt mean a hill of beans...accuracy and the ability to make decisions quickly....along with an ability to absorb info quickly.

Intelligence with anticipation and accuracy

These are the traits of the greats, not throwing the ball 80 yards on a knee

You know this Oswheler ( sp?) kid is going to be something..apparently. He has the tools physically and is getting schooled like no other player in the league right now....he sits in the film room with Manning and Elway and is a sponge.

After two more years the kid gets his chance. His teammates have already said he is the real deal...and he is 6 foot 8.  :o

Exactly Mike.  He's still incredibly valuable.  And i believe he'll do better next year, when he's able to build up his arm strength...

He just didn't have it in the playoffs.  The stats don't lie.  And certainly the weather was an issue...

But THIS IS WHY, they took a knee.  This is why Manning did not fight to try & drive down the field w/ 31 seconds.  He knew he didn't have the throws that he needed, in him.  Especially on an obvious passing situation.
It's all about having fun.  But losing aint fun!

If he works out then great, but with Denver going back to their OCs offense once Manning leaves will set him back imho.

He reminds me of that QB the Raiders used to have.  I think he was from ASU.  Big & tall.  Big arm.  But he sucked...

Cant remember his name.

Ha.  Google.  Andrew Walter.
