Body Weight Exercise Links for ENDURO

I like using this link to send to parents...  It is a table, you click on it and it shows a youtube video on how to do it.

I have never used the product, I just liked the set up on the bodyweight exercises...some neat twists and variation on a few as well.

I have been getting some emails and IM's lately on routines for ENDURO: (use the link above as a reference)

Here is an EASY ONE for 5 to 8 year olds

4 exercises - 30 seconds each back to back (3 dynamic + 1 static/isometric)  do them as fast and correctly as possible

Speed Jacks
Squats
Push up on knees
ISOMETRIC PLANK

Repeat for 10/12/15/20 minute start with 10 build up to 20.

Here is a INTERMEDIATE for 5 to 8 year olds and EASY for 8 to 12 year olds

Mountain climber
Crunchy frog
Wide arm push up on knees
ISOMETRIC 3 POINT STANCE

same time routine.

I have used both of these...  My 5 and 7 year old can do 12 minutes straight and then we do 10 - 100 yard sprints after 3 minute rest/water break.  The get through about 6 full speed sprints and then the remaining 4 are at about 70% for them at this point...and we are improving as we do it.

If you use the chart - use the EASY stuff for 5 to 8 year olds...keep the push ups on the knees so they can work on volume as well as quality.

You an ISOMETRIC just about any of these exercises but I also like to do isometric 3 point DL and OL stances as well as a LB 2 point and a WR 2 point stance.  Really develops their core and stabilizers at that age.

So I sent this to Goose yesterday...he thought it was awesome...and at 10:30 last night, after he finished his homework...he wanted to try some of the different push ups...I told him to go to bed  :P
None of them suck, they just haven't found what the kid is good at yet.
