April 19th:  9 am to 6 pm - YDW Clinic
Aprile 20th :  9 am to 6 pm - 63 Clinic

YDW CLINIC (4/19/14):

1) Introduction to the Mulitple Attack Package (backfield and perimeter variations in the Power/Counter/Iso game). (1.5 hours)
2) Adapting Power Series to a tough Defensive End. (30 minutes)
3) Using the Trap and the Wedge against the interior defenders. (1 hour)
4) Play Action Passing Game (1 hour)
5) Perimeter Passing Game (1 hour)
6) Pass Protection in the YDW (1 hour)
7) Q&A Period for Attendees
8 ) Closing comments

Lunch is provided.

63 Defense Clinic (4/20/14)

1) 63 Basics (1.5 hour)
2) Zone coverage (1 hour)
3) Defensive End Play (1 hour)
4) Defensive Line Play (1 hour)
5) Linebacker Play (1 hour)
6) Punt Block and Punt Return Schemes (30 minutes)

Lovefield (near downtown Dallas - Southwest), and DFW International are the two major airports.  I am working on finalizing the contract with the hotel and they have put aside 15 rooms for us on each night. If you call the hotel and tell them you are with the Youth Double Wing Clinic you will get the special rate.  Once I get the contract finalized I will post it.

Due to me forgeting about Easter on 4/19 and 4/20 and the low registration I am going to move the date out to 6/21 and 6/22.  I have already emailed all the current attendees and was waiting on confirmation from the hotel on the move.

Hopefully these will be better dates for everyone.  Sorry for the change it is completely my fault as I didn't consider Easter and didn't figure it out until this past weekend when it dawned on me at church...(big big brain fart on my part)....

More than a month away for the clinic and I can't hardly wait. The closer I get towards summer, the more excited I get to start a new season.

Trying real hard to make both days of the clinic and should know in a week or two about any assistants coming with me. I'm going to stress real hard for them to come, so they will know how all this works before we start camp in July.

Jack, I am dropping down a level and am back to coaching the 8 and unders again this season. Your defense is tailor made for our league rules. Our rules state that a D lineman cannot be head up on the center. They must be in the A gap and no blitzing allowed inside the tackles. I can bring the house on the perimeter or play base with the outside stacker playing RED. Either way should work well with this age group.
