a questions for the counters
« on: September 12, 2014, 07:45:12 PM »
I dont face this but I use inverted 2 coverage in my 4-2-5.

My question is do you count him or do you not based on distance

-----------------f
-------------20----20
------7----3-----1------7
-----0--0--0--#--0--0--0

Our mlbs are 1 arm length off the def line and the fs is about 5-6 yards

correct. gotta draw the line somewhere.

if i made it 6 - then a lb at 7 doesn't get counted? etc...

OK instead of Gibbs I will use McNally.

This is a different play.  Counter (Scissor) uses different blocking completely.  Guard Pulls here.  I have seen Jim Speak to this.  It is not Zone it has its own rule.

He Ate up the Guards for a lame Pull/Trap and ate up the RB for their failure to use his block.

Gibbs or McNally, either one will rip your arse for not following the Blocks.  Either one will Rip your arse for being lazy as a Linemen.

I lean towards Jim because he flat out tells it like it is!  Not to mention he is old school a dumb arse is a dumb arse, be he back or linemen.  He draws stuff on blank overheads, no power point, he gets ruffled and says the Bottom line is "GD, Thats The Way It Has To Be! No Excuses!"

 ;)

Not MPP... ONE TASK!  Teach them!  :)

If lbers are within 1 yrd of the d-line consider them on.COUNT,em .So the fs would just get caught up in the mesh of man blocking.jmo
