T

Yes.

If anyone says no...ask them how many Big Shiny Trophies they've won running zone with this age group. Im sure there are a few but they are far between.

Can it be done?....without question....yes. And its certainly worth it IMHO. Lots of positives but it aint easy peasy. Gotta coach the heck out of it.

The blocking isnt as hard as the running scheme that goes with it.

Comming off of doubles is tough for kids at that age
we count...check and climb not as hard but takes a lot of time to coach

You can but its very tough, takes alot of reps, we gave it a go this season and for every one play that looked perfect, we had 3-4 that went wrong For a number of reasons. Miscommunication on oline, coming off blocks too early ect.

Its just me but at this level ill block down and kick out from now on :)

You have to study it and watch hours up on hours of film ,Install and run it for a couple of years and then you might have something.Or for now just run a gap.power and perimeter blocking scheme . Man for iso,gap for counters ,and  a power here and there. Double teams mainly  for power.s ,and a reach / wide zone scheme for perimeter plays.
