we've ran IZ and OZ from everything from 10 psn to 32 psn.  Formations don't change the count or techniques.  And if there is seven in the box vs. 2x2, the ball needs to be in the air.

A lot of spread guys at ac glazier were talking about how they man block more then traditional zone...but us youth coaches know better then them.

The biggest a ha moment was actually bill mountjoys uncovered rules...ive heard more references to protect against a stunt then get into a combo and go.

No he wasnt...however I did get to talk with quite a few spread zone read based teams and learned over lunch a lot of them are having success with principles very similiar to his.

Theyd like a combo but seldom get one
see more stunts then blitzes
need to account for an "easy stunt"
all want to finish the play locked on to one guy

Im gonna email him soon bc im curious how he would practice blocking 2 stunts

1.

--------5----1-----3--5
----------0-0-#-0-0
-3 goes accross face to center
-5 goes on high charge
-1 loops into b gap

This apparently was givng coaches fits as it sets a "trap" for iz read

2.
------------m------b
--------4------0--------4
--------0--0--#--0--0

0 and 4 slant across face toward the ball
mike loops

They see these stunts when they are not running veer...read toward the rbbside
