That's one of the most ridiculous things that I've ever heard! When I was in high school, I was on the wrong side of several lopsided scores. My coach reminded us that it if we didn't want them to run up the score, then we needed to get our (posteriors) in gear and keep them out of the end zone.

Saw that the other day, crazy.  Our league president gets questioned every week about our 12u and 14u teams winning by 40.  I have a hard time telling the starting left guard not to score a touchdown when he gets to run the ball in the 4th quarter.  Sorry Pres.
