Anyone use this Kickoff scheme?

Kickoff team alignment.

..R1...................................................K.........................................L1
.....R2...R3...R4.....................R5....................L5...........L2...L3...L4....

Hard to tell, but 1's are on s/l 1 yard deeper than 2's. 2, 3, and 4 are as follows, 2 is 1 yard o/s numbers, 3 is on top of #'s and 4 is 1 yard i/s numbers. 5's are 1/2 way between the ball and the hash.

Here is what I can tell from film. If you put 5 on the LOS inside the hashes, they kick a directional onside kick EVERY time (and pretty successful w/it). If you align with less than 5 inside the hashes, they kick a middle onside.

I saw one team, align 9 guys on LOS, with 5 inside hashes and 2 outside, but they couldn't get a return off b/c that was not their normal return look. When they did 9 on the line, the KO team kicked it deep, but directional.

Any ideas?

Had this in another post, and was wondering if anyone on here utilized this scheme?

Never had the pleasure of running or seeing this before now.

At first glance, it looks like a kickoff version of a swinging gate PAT.

Hollister High School in Missouri runs this 4X3X4 KO. They would cross/fake the onside with one of the three in the middle, tried to slow down the front guys from getting down field quickly. They also didn't have a safety, because the kicker went down field just as hard as the other KO guys.

I had my C on the front line meet the Kicker @ 5 yards and flat backed him too.
