What are your thoughts of running DC PUNT out of pistol formation.  Are there any possible issues that anyone can foresee?

You could have Q slide out of the way as the ball is on its way, increasing the deception.  OTOH, he'd also be screening the punter from his view of the ball coming, so it would have increased risk of a muff if you did it that way instead of having Q clear away before the snap starts.

Was planning on still motioning QB prior to the snap, but wasn't sure if that would be considered an illegal motion.

It has less possibility of being called a false start than if his hands were under the snapper's butt.  Of course he still might move his hands in a way that looked like he was taking the snap, and that'd be a false start.

It wouldn't be illegal motion unless you had some other player's movement that in combination w it constituted illegal motion.
