My Base 8 Beast Offense Plays
« on: June 30, 2017, 03:56:03 PM »
I just put together a quick blog post with game or scrimmage video of what I call my Base 8 Beast Offense plays.  For those that think there is just one Beast play, here are 7 other plays that work great for most ages.

https://coachparker.org/2017/06/30/beast-offense-plays-the-base-8-best-beast-plays/

1.  Beast R/L Tank
2.  Beast R/L Grenade
3.  Beast R/L Even Wedge
4.  Beast R/L Even Backdoor TE Pop Pass
5.  Beast (Worm) R/L Sweep
6.  Beast (Worm) R/L Gut Counter
7.  Beast Jumbo R/L Sweep Option Pass
8.  Beast Jumbo R/L Stretch

Would love to hear your feedback.

Have a great 4th weekend.

Some folks have messaged me for my Beast Base 8 play diagrams.  You can pull them from the videos in these articles https://coachparker.org/category/offense/beast-offense/.  There are three main articles Beast Tight, Beast Wide and Beast Jumbo base plays which should have the play diagrams in the videos and there are a few other articles there too for your review.  This is all free for your review.  There is a ton more out there at CoachParker.org, my Facebook, Twitter and Youtube channel.  All link can be found from CoachParker.org.

If you want the plays in an organized playbook with commentary then you can find them in my Power Wing Beast Offense Playbook for Youth Football here....
https://coachparker.org/power-wing-beast-offense-playbook/

I've attached a play diagram of another Beast pass play the Cyclops which was on Facebook a few weeks ago.  Enjoy.

Contact me anytime, let me know how I can make your Beast even meaner.  :)

Thanks

I just posted two game videos of me calling offensive plays a few years ago using the Power Wing Beast Offense and a lot of Beast plays mixed into the total play calling.  Here you can see how you might use the Beast Offense in your playbook and games.

Check them out.

I dunno.  I can't tell what it is.

In looking at your Beast Cyclops, what is GOO blocking?

GOO is the blocking rule we use for our pass blocking - Gap On Outside.  We call it GOOP (P = Pass) sometimes so the players know its pass blocking vs run GOO.

If you click on the attached graphic you should be able to see the Beast.

Thanks

I agree. I like the logo but it is a bit heavy in the lines which makes it harder to tell what it is. But over all I like the concept of the logo.

What relevance does the "62" on the beast have?

The Pirate Logo on helmet and 62 is the name of my defense.  If I use graphic as a stand alone without the wording around the Beast it has concepts of both my books in the graphic.

You are correct sir!

When I ran the Beast in '94 and "95 I called it Loud Rowdy Monkey for Left Right Middle.  I had no idea what it was called but I knew it worked.  Then when I started coaching again in 2005 everyone was calling the formation the Beast.  So I thought the Gorilla / Monkey would make a great Beast.  And yes, the Wings are for Power Wing Beast.  :)

Here's a good play if the Defense is all over the Beast Tank play.  See play attachment.  Hit them with the Beast Tricky.

The o-line moves into an Even set and the back runs naked to the backside into the tackle hole.  This will help keep the Defense honest.

Thanks
