Again, the survey isnt scientific at all. But some comparison numbers that may be able to help some.
However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

My thoughts on why the teams that were in the bottom 20% win wise and Onside kicked about 1/2 as often as the guys in the top 20% win wise had the same recovery rates:

THe teams that onside kicked all the time- were probably better executing it, but since they ran it all the time, the other teams were expecting it
The poorer performing teams who kicked the Onside less often probably had more of a "surprise" factor advantage, that overcame their poorer execution
That may account for why their recovery rates were nearly identical

My teams have some work to do- we havent been consistently in that 23% range for quite awhile. The new artificial turf at home games this year should help though.
