Coach Johnny Manzeil

Says he wants to Coach College Level if his NFL Days are done.

The thought Scares Me.  imho he would make Friday Night Tykes look like the Pantheon of Coaching.   It took Ryan Leaf many, many years to get his life turned around and speak positively and honestly about his mistakes. The world just isn't ready for Johnny Football to lead kids at any level.   ???

"Manziel, attending the International Football Betting Conference in Costa Rica..."

That's hilarious.

Unless of course he meant he would Coach the Intramural Beer Pong/Bong Team.  As Bugs Bunny used to say ...... What a Maroon

Funny how we seem to have these totally unrealistic ideas about college and pro level coaches. In talking to a guy who has been there and done that with a NC team, you would be stunned at how much insane stuff the staffs are involved with. I have heard some stories from here that I won't get into because I promised him I wouldn't that would have me believe that Manziel would fit right in. The coaches are often worse than the players, they just are smart enough to not get caught for the most part. We hear about coaches getting into trouble and it is just the tip of the iceberg. They just aren't under the same scrutiny as the players. What makes anyone think Manziel's antics are any different than what already goes on is beyond me.

I find it hard to believe Manziel would fit right in.

Manziel would get a shot because his name and notoriety would be huge selling points for recruits.

It might not be at Texas A&M, but somewhere, some school would jump at the chance to have a Heisman winner that a lot of HS kids idolized when they were little (or even just in MS) recruiting them to the team.

The partying, the immaturity, the antics... a lot of HS kids would relate to that and jump at the chance to play for a coach who "gets them," unfortunately.

If he wanted to coach HS, a lot of schools would hire him off the street to be HC just based on his resume as a player.  I see it all the time.
