It is what we make of it (Advantages)

I am forever seeing posts about blocking!

Here's the real deal imho:

Its your (our) job to put kids in position to succeed.  It's your (our) job to ensure every play you run has the chance to be successful!  It all starts up front!

Give them angles!
Give them Help (Combo)!
Give the smallest kid on your OL an opportunity to be effective!

Sorry if that sounds too simplistic but, I can't review every possible blocking scheme! Know this, if your scheme and play calling doesn't give the Front Line the advantage, its not their fault!

Just because you have a play in your playbook, it doesn't make it the best play unless your OL has the advantage!  Then its all about execution!

JMHO
Not MPP... ONE TASK!  Teach them!  :)

Can't I just yell, "Block Somebody"?

With our line, we want to make sure that, as they are walking up to the line, they know who they are blocking, where they are blocking him and what the snap count is.  If I have not spent an appropriate amount of time in ensuring that they can handle all of those things, then I have not done my job.

BTW - we spend time on it every day, all season long.
