as much as this is double wing

....O.O.O.C.O.O.O

the first has zero wings so the word wing should not be in its title, call me crazy!
the 2nd has one wing, as in 1 single wing, hence the name single wing, BUT nope its called double, as in 2, wing

SOOO I HAVE DECIDED this is called no-wing

Right, in modulo 3!  You count 0, 1, 2, 0, 1, 2....  0 is single, 1 is double, 2 must be triple, and 3 is none.

You should see in Delphi's single wing, etc. forum where they're saying now that the offense Baylor U. used in their recent record-setting bowl game is single wing, because...uh...I guess because the players taking the snap played RB or WR during part of the season.  Not only did they have no wingback on most plays, but there was only 1 position the snaps went to, and whichever player was at that position on that down caught the snap flat-footed.  They weren't kicking out either DE, or log blocking with an OL to run around them.  They had some very interesting plays, but hardly any of them looked like something typical of single wing offenses.

I dont know what WTF that carolina defense coach was thinking, 2 safeties??? and they just ran 12 times in a row, and you still got 2 safeties WOW!!!! Somebody got taken to the tool shed!

I would of put 8 or 9 defenders in the box and attempted to force them to whip my arse via the pass. 600 rushing yards rushing...with little misdirection...and they had 2 safeties. You woulda thought somebody woulda said something at sometime..."hay coach their gettin 1st down after 1st down, maybe stack the box, you know something else other than what you been doing...crazy right??

Forget inside the tool shed that DC should of been taken out behind my barn and given a mercy killing. They were not doing anything unusual. Everybody calls it the wildcat. Everybody has seen it, its not a rarity, you know whos getting the ball. BUT when the lead blocker is at 3 yds and has nobody to block THERE IS NO NO NO EXCUSE FOR THAT!!!

Instant firing of that DC!

Judging by what the announcers were saying, I'm afraid they didn't have the guys to stack the box with.  Yes, the front they played was obviously overworked, but what if the only people they could've used to stack the box with would've been outclassed in that small a space?

he called it the split T and it isnt anything like the south texas slot T.

it has a Wing T feel, with more emphasis on belly (inside and outside belly)

Yes, I've heard the similarity to the Texas Slot-T was superficial at best.

Interesting that they ran belly from it.  Sounds like a totally different animal from Faurot/Wilkinson/Tatum Split-T.

I'll probably check that out, since I'm kinda on an obscure offense reading binge right now.

A great non-Delaware wing-t book is Coaching Football Succesfully by Bob Reade.  It is just a great coaching book regardless of what anyone runs on offense.  And it is cheap!  A penny plus $3.99 shipping.
