I don't think its noticed as much in other sports because most are much less choreographed and individual battles can be more easily seen. I watch my kids baseball practice and over the course of 2 hours they get about as much done as they would in 15 minutes if I were running practice. But they don't have to be in sync and when 4 kids can't hit at all no one thinks its because they are poorly coached.

I disagree.  Bad coaching is bad Coaching.  A ton of "Team" Sports are "Choreographed".  There is far too much precedence to say otherwise.  Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Rowing, to name a few!   There comes a time when its takes more than "Encouragement" and Granola Bars to be effective as a Coach!   For some that time happens later than others!     
Not MPP... ONE TASK!  Teach them!  :)
