It takes a lot of patience.  The kids listen when I speak.  And as long as they listen, they know there will be no issues.

Ok a few tears later,2 of my 5 kids are adopted from Guatemala,my 8 yr old girl love of my life will be 9 later this month, became a Durfee at 5.4 months old ,my 10 year old son will be 11 on ST.Pats day very good 4 back lol.  Became a Durfee at age 4 ,they are not brother and sister only now .My blood son who turned 13 ,3 weeks ago is now taller then I am 5,11 plays fb and oslb in a 4-3 defense  :) my 21 yr old is finishing her 3rd and final year in college and also very proud of all her hard work and determination to get,er done early lol.And my 25 yr old who is physically amd mentally handy capped which me and here mother have sacrificed for 28 years to give her a good life.Now and most graciuos and thankful for and terriffic wife and mother that keeps us all together,
