You guys looked great when I say you play... tough ending, but the kids fought hard.
It was good to see you!

Mike - it was good to see a familiar face that far away. I wish I had more time to chat that day, but I was dealing with a player who had to apologize to the other coaches.

We played much better at the end of the season and I think they did well. I will give guidance next year, but I have other duties that will take precedence. I will coach again, but my job will need some attention for the next year (at least). I have college to pay for. :)

Dug up last year’s thread and brought back some memories (and nightmares). :)

Postscript:
- had 19 of the 20 kids come back, which is what I had hoped for
- had all coaches come back
- Team had to split up because we were a combined grade team. The 5th graders moved up to play on the 6/7th grade team. The 4th graders play with their new grade (5th)
- I am not coaching this year, but still helping out the 2 new head coaches with planning, defense and the little things.

Interested to hear how everyone does this year!
