Been there done that! I know how frustrating it can be, & the feeling of "will this really work".  Stay the course I am sure you will do well.

So major differences in 2018 are. We've canned wedge, trap, down and beast in favor of tight- mid- and wide zone with out changing a thing aiming point and mesh wise out of Hybrid Wing. My mpps are running I-Wing with a DUO PRINCIPAL as there core play were we can do a couple different things off 1 scheme. Were running some  option  because of a true dual threat qb i've been blessed with that can spin it as well. I've always been a sucker for option and finally got the sack to go thru with it lets see if i got the NUTS to call it as we've worked on it every offensive day. Option  is also serving as my alternative flank play to compliment buck until we get jet game ready. Which it is in but decided to devote more indy and group time to MY OLM getitng communication, combos, double teams and slip blocks write having a true understanding of how gap schemes and zone schemes compliment each other and go hand in hand. I know folks a think im crazy but i totally did my homework and put alot of thought  time and effort into modfying blocking schemes still devoloping more carry over eliminating time intensive play's still keeping Delaware's backfield patterns. So all we have in for today is Buck- Power -Ctr- IZ -OZ so 4 TOTAL Run Schemes (Because Pwr Ctr same scheme in my eyes) along with a boot protection and an aggressive protection  that hinges on backside. We've alsways committed 2 of our 3 backs into the protection so we can get the ball deep. Took a page out of Joe Bugel and Joe Gibbs practice and team philosphy and WILL BE #HYBRIDWINGINGIT#.  #2018 -EVOLUTION ECO/DELAWARE#
Coach, do you plan on posting any film on this. I'd be interested in seeing it.

I went 180 out this year.  Pistol style RPO.  It's the P we are struggling with.   QB has developed a case of Stage Fright/Happy Feet and is missing the Hot passes.  Has 2 slants I could have scored on  (6'1 290) that weren't thrown.  He squeezed it and ran!  X and Y are the first Read and they are supposed to signal Hitch, Slant, Fade.  Sometimes they signal, some times they don't.  I have one who runs good patterns and has decent speed and hands.  He is the one we Squeezed on.  WIDE OPEN !  We are most assuredly a work in progress.  That being said we have scored more points this season 36 than we did all last season 18.  So somethings are working.  I have so much more to add, based on talking to Joe but, cant until we get the basics down.  One of my biggest "Bitches" is the OL is not doing assignment football.  Way too  much chasing going on!  The Guard I chose asks too many questions. Yet he is still quicker and stronger than all the others on Power.  We call Double A to help him figure it out.  Yet he worries about blocking the guy on his outside shoulder away from play direction.  I'm seriously thinking about calling some of my Horse Owner friends and getting some blinders for him.  LOL

Much Luck Tito!  :)

So we won wk 1 25-24 in double OT. After fumbling 6 x's and being down 2 scores until 4 min in 4th and didn't tie game until 21 seconds in late in fourth. We pulled this game out on a waggle keep for extra point to seal the deal. I thought it would be a huge moment for us as we already tied last years win total but somehow it didnt work out that way and practicing this week was a total challenge because of injuries immaturity and flat out lack of commitment and heart . I will not be posting again to seasons end because i'm totally disgusted with this situation i agreed too and at this point i will honor my commitment and see it thru being absolutely miserable and not in a good place mentally. I know i can fix these kid's but cant want it for them and need gto focus on modifying everything we do and create different ways to get them thru the season . Talk to everyone in November. I CANT WAIT !!!!!!

Head up Coach, you got this. Culture change isn't easy, but maybe your most satisfying season yet. Can't wait to hear about it in November. Right man for the job.

Tito

My dear friend, sometimes from the darkest days comes our brightest moments.

There is no doubt you can coach, they only have to accept the coaching. It isn't happening at the pace you want, that doesn't mean it won't happen. Stay the course, keep doing what you do & good things will happen.

Keep with it Tito. If you need a chat, give me a call. There are lots of distractions that take you away from helping those kids. Avoid the distractions. ;)

Looking back at this season up to know i made some huge mistakes this year. Bright ideas are never good when your accustomed to teaching a certain brand of football .  It didnt take long for me to figure out i made a grave mistake and as soon as i went back to doing what i do everything changed. I'm human like everyone else and get bored and look to try things that dont make sense for what we do and it over complicates things. But i learned from it and thru it this team weathered the storm with me even when i aint put them in best of position's and for that i'm very proud of them as we look to try and win 3 in a row after scoring 71 pts in last 2 games. We have no HR Hitters  and are chewing people up in short spurts and driving the football. It's been a season i've learned so much from and i'm grateful i made this choice. I've had to do some out of the box shit that's working that i swear only Hybrid Wing lends itself too. Cant wait to post this years Offensive Highlights at end of year.

So were 4-3 after a 27-0 win on Sunday evening and secured 2nd seed in state and got a home game . Been a crazy ride with this group but there getting tougher and more confident by the minute playing real fast on both sides of the ball. It's amazing what staying the course does when you believe in what you do 1000 %.....

Good stuff, Tito.  It is always a learning and (usually) a humbling experience each year.

Are you guys playing 14U and trying to get to Florida?  I know that CMass is not going the Regional route for our 14U and having them take an at-large bid directly to Nationals.
